Enterprise class billing and CRM platform vendor SURE! believes global sales of its cloud-based solutions will start to grow exponentially in 2013, SURE! marketing consultant and billing expert Satish Garikipati told BNamericas.
SURE! acquired a 3-year old cloud services specialist in 2009 and although there are many unknowns concerning this business model the unit has proved profitable, with a handful of successes so far.
Rather than run its own data centers SURE! hires capacity from US hosting provider Rackspace, and uses these facilities to make the cloud option available in Latin America. To meet security guidelines associated with cloud services, its product and hosted environment are PCI and SSAE 16 (AT 101) audited.
Billing and CRM currently represent 70% of SURE! global revenues, but the fastest growing business line is identity and access management, which Garikipati expects to contribute 50-60% of revenue by end-2013.
The executive also expects global revenue to grow to US$50mn in the next year to two years, up from US$30mn at present.
SURE! now serves 170-plus customers in 30 countries, driving services to some 30 million consumers. Approximately 40% of those consumers are served by tier 1 carriers, and the bulk of the remainder by tier 2 carriers. The majority of clients are pay TV and broadband providers, but SURE! solutions are also run by IaaS and SaaS providers.
The firm has eight customers in the CALA region, and will shortly be announcing two additional wins in Brazil.
